Hypervenezia

The exhibition marks the reopening of Palazzo Grassi after six months of closing for renovation. “Hypervenezia” celebrates the namesake city and the 1600th anniversary of its foundation, presenting to the public the “Venice Urban Photo Project” for the first time. Mario Peliti is the author of this ambitious work: since 2006, he has been mapping  Venice through his pictures, assembling the most complete archive ever dedicated to the city. Today, it features around 12.000 black and white shots. A selection of them is on view on the first floor of Palazzo Grassi, under the curatorship of Matthieu Humery of the Collection Pinault, who built an exhibition path focused on three main installations.
