Il Correr di Carlo Scarpa 1953 – 1960
The exhibition presents a documentation of the architecture and furnishings of the Museo Correr by Carlo Scarpa, drawing from the period photographs from the MUVE Photographic Archive. Alongside these images, some original examples of Carlo Scarpa’s refined designs for the Correr will be exhibited, including display cases and showcases, the famous “easel” for paintings, supports, joints, and interlockings.
These pieces highlight Scarpa’s extraordinary ability to combine form and function, with his unmistakable stylistic signature and exceptional craftsmanship. True masterpieces where the structural characteristics and the aesthetic qualities of the materials are elevated by a design of inimitable sensitivity and by the skilled artistry of its maker.
