In My Dream I Was in Kuwait

Kuwait’s largest cultural institution, the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre presents at the Scuola dell’Arte dei Tiraoro e Battioro in Campo San Stae “In My Dream I Was in Kuwait” with new artwork by six emerging Kuwaiti artists. The show, which is part of an international visual arts programme called Heart of Culture presents the plurality of Kuwaiti artistic practice through artworks developed on the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre’s Artist-in-Residence programme and is part of the institution’s aim to nurture young talent and facilitate cultural exchange through international collaborations.
The show is divided into two stages with 3 artists each: the first selection includes the work of Amani Althuwaini Mahmoud Shaker and Zahra Marwan on view until August; the second includes the work of Ahmed Muqeem, Khaled al Najdi and Naseer Behbehani on view from September to November 2019.
