Inaugural Programme of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo – Isola di San Giacomo
For the opening of its third venue, the Foundation presents a wide-ranging exhibition programme.
“Fanfare/Lament”, a solo show by Matt Copson curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, combines exhibition and performance, with music composed by Oliver Leith. “Don’t Have Hope, Be Hope!” features a selection of works from the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection.
“Isola di San Giacomo 2022–2026: A Story in Images” brings together photographs from projects by Giovanna Silva and Antonio Fortugno, who were invited in 2022 to document the island’s transformation and restoration.
Outdoors, a series of installations unfolds across the site: “Gonogo” by Goshka Macuga; “Old Tree (Pink Seas)” by Pamela Rosenkranz; “Patriarchy = CO₂” by Claire Fontaine; “Nixe” by Thomas Schütte; “Huff and a Puff” by Hugh Hayden; and “Imagine Alighiero Boetti Came to São Paulo and After Putting Water on His Head Left the Hose and Left” by Mario García Torres.
