Jonathan Monaghan: Architecture of Fantasy

American artist Jonathan Monaghan (born in New York in 1986) creates sculpture, prints, and animated video installations. Pulling from wide-ranging sources such as science fiction and baroque architecture, his work evokes collective fears surrounding authority, wealth, and technology. His work has been exhibited widely, including venues such as: The Sundance Film Festival, The BFI Southbank in London, The Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C., and The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.
