Just Now – Contemporary Images and Ink Painting Conception

The exhibition focuses on artist Cai Guangbin‘s research, rooted in the tradition of the Chinese secular ink technique.

Cai Guangbin, now one of the most important contemporary artists in China,  uses it applied on paper leaving only part of the tradition behind, bringing it to new dynamics and applying the technique to aspects that are part of our daily reality and of the twenty-first century China.
With this exhibition the artist proposes on the one hand a new expression of Chinese culture, on the other a deep private and intimate reflection on the surrounding reality.
