KRISTAL

The solo exhibition, a curatorial project by Cristina Kristal Rizzo with Lucia Amara, Irene Calderoni, Edoardo Lazzari and Giuseppe Ricupero, is dedicated to choreographer and artist Cristina Kristal Rizzo, one of the leading voices in the Italian choreographic and performance scene.

Through an exploration of her archive, the exhibition traces her research from the 1990s to the present, investigating the relationships between choreographic practice and visual arts, documentation and dance as a form of thought. Developed during her residency at Scuola Piccola in collaboration with writer Lucia Amara, the project approaches the archive as an open dispositif. The exhibition design, conceived by architect Giuseppe Ricupero, brings together works, documents and research processes, generating new possibilities for interpretation.
