Library 2018. Russian Architecture, Design and Crafts

The Government of Moscow represents the project “Library 2018. Russian Architecture, Design and Crafts“,  held in parallel with the 16th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.

The event takes place in the format of an exposition in one of the famous Venetian galleries — MAGAZZINO GALLERY in Palazzo Contarini Polignac.
The project is made in cooperation of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow, Asadov Architectural Studio, Industrial Designers Club (IDC) and the independent Media «Seasons Project».

The Moscow exposition aims to demonstrate new solutions for design of urban social spaces. On the one hand, this project reflects artists’ vision, on the other hand, the exhibition analyzes the phenomenon of the library in historical, cultural and social aspects focusing on the existing library fund. The Ideal library is not only a public space with books, but this term includes objects, atmosphere, people, events, knowledge, experience, possibilities.
