Lost Directions
Lost Directions, an exhibition project that takes its title from an installation by Urs Lüthi (Switzerland, 1947) on display: a 2014 work that is a manifesto of the research on the theme of identity carried out by the artist from the 70’s. The topic of personal history and the relationship with society is at the centre of this inaugural exhibition. Lost Directions explores the concept of a sense of identity present in the artists’ works, but at the same time opens a dialogue with the history of the Venetian lagoon. By physically directing the gaze towards Punta della Dogana, historically part of the control system for incoming goods, the works dialogue with Venice, which has always been an example of cultural crossroad.
