Marie Denis and Michele Spanghero: Imprese
The show merges together artworks and installations by French artist Marie Denis and Italian sound artist Michele Spanghero.
The exhibition features the two visual artists Marie Denis and Michele Spanghero, under the curatorship of Martina Cavallarin.
The artists’ installations dialogue in the spaces of Galleria Alberta Pane in Venice: Denis’ piece “Nella Wunderkammer” – realised in collaboration with Giovanardi – expresses both the attraction and the annulment of the barriers between natural and artificial spheres. Her series of ‘prints’ and the video “Les Masque(s)” are also exhibited in the gallery.
Michele Spanghero’s sound installation consists of a modular wood sculpture reproducing the harmonic frequencies of the acoustic stationary waves of the room. In this way, the sculpture, realised in collaboration with Lunardelli, interacts with the surrounding environment, where the prototype of the sound capsule and the photographic series “Studies on the Density of White” are also on view.
Both Denis and Spanghero recreate an immersive environment, inviting visitors to indulge their visual and acoustic experiences.
