On the occasion of the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, Lo Studio – Nadja Romain hosts an exclusive exhibition by designer Mehdi Dakhli.
A Tribute to Venice’s Historical Role
For this exhibition, Mehdi Dakhli presents a series of new design pieces inspired by Venice’s unique history — a symbol of the first great international city, situated at the crossroads of cultural, commercial, financial, and artistic exchange. Through his creations, the designer pays tribute to the richness of Venetian heritage and its iconic role as a meeting point of civilisations.
These pieces resonate with the soul of Venice, incorporating materials, forms, and concepts that engage with its past while projecting a contemporary and universal vision of design.
A Dialogue Between Design and Contemporary Art
Curated by Mehdi Dakhli, the exhibition extends beyond his personal creations. It also features a selection of works by invited contemporary artists, chosen for their ability to enrich the exhibition’s theme through diverse and bold perspectives — including Ibrahim Mahama, Esther Mahlangu, and Alexandre Gourçon.
This dialogue between design and contemporary art reflects the commitment of Nadja Romain and Mehdi Dakhli to transdisciplinary collaboration, and their shared desire to celebrate Venice’s spirit of openness and innovation.
