Opiemme: Senza Bandiere V.3.0. Divide et Impera

The exhibition brings together a selection of works produced by the collective over the past fifteen years and offers an urgent reflection on coexistence, collective responsibility, and the construction of an empathetic humanity grounded in dialogue.

The deliberately open-ended title evokes, on the one hand, the need to overcome borders and divisions that fragment the present, and on the other, a widespread sense of disorientation and loss of shared reference points. Central to the artist’s research is the encounter between word and image: essential poetic interventions are grafted onto geographic maps, nautical charts, newspapers, and book pages, transforming them into spaces for critical thought.

Through phrases and aphorisms, Opiemme addresses universal themes such as migration, human rights, environmental sustainability, and the relationship between humanity and technology, with particular attention to the reuse of materials and to the symbolic value of memory.
