Pablo Bronstein: Carousel

Pablo Bronstein’s new installation and performance takes the historic form of the zootrope – whose optical illusion creates rudimentary moving images – as a low-fi metaphor to describe a landscape of complex contemporary fantasies and interrelations. Looking at the reality of our lives, mediated through screens, the artist considers physical reality (architecture, and the body) in relation to the condition of extreme selfregard, or narcissism, endemic to a world that exists in the post-iphone universe.
