Paolo Martinuzzi. An exemplary adventure. Art Brut a Murano negli anni ‘70

The exhibition pays tribute to Paolo Martinuzzi, among the first artists in Murano to use glass for autonomous expressive purposes, anticipating the Studio Glass movement in Italy. His sculptures, often in dialogue with iron and reclaimed wood, transform glass into a restless and deeply contemporary material. Incisions and graphic marks cross the surfaces, introducing an expressive tension that brings his work closer to an idea of a primary, instinctive, and radical gesture, far from any decorative dimension.
