R.S.V.P. Résonnez, S’il Vous Plaît

Scuola Piccola Zattere presents “R.S.V.P. Résonnez, S’il Vous Plaît”, a group exhibition bringing together works and projects by Aliaskar Abarkas, Nabil Aniss, Diana Anselmo, and the collective Osservatorio Sant’Anna (consisting of Maria Eugenia Frizzele and the Lemonot duo) — all participants in the residency and fellowship programme promoted by the institution during its first year of activity.

Installations and sculptures, video and sound works — all newly commissioned productions — reflect multiple individual and collective trajectories that have alternated or temporarily intertwined, engaging in dialogue with One Year Score, the thematic programme proposed by the Scuola. The research process developed through a variety of formats (workshops, discursive encounters, and performances) connecting different expressive and disciplinary fields: visual and performing arts, curating, cinema, architecture, and design.

The exhibition’s title references the RSVP Cycles theory of Lawrence and Anna Halprin, the landscape architect and the choreographer-dancer whose individual artistic paths were shaped by continuous reciprocity. The RSVP system values the circular and collaborative dimension of creation, formulating a concept of process based on ongoing exchange and an attitude of listening, beginning from the notion of the score.
