Rafael Barrios: Virtualism

Bel Air Fine Art and GAA Foundation present an exhibition by Rafael Barrios at Giardini Marinaressa (Riva dei Sette Martiri, 30122).
In the framework of the biennale and the curatorial theme “FREESPACE”, the works by the artist explore theme of illusionism and the magnetism particularly visible in the artist’s 3D geometric sculptures. Barrios’ sculptures are identifiable by a set of dynamics, levity and strength which is imprinted on each individual creation in order to reach the beholder’s spirit. The artist plays with shapes, altering the laws of geometry, fabling volume in space. His sculptures are characterized by breaking orthodox directionality, accessing new possibilities of perception escaping the laws of space and gravity.
