Rafaël Rozendaal: Observation
For more than 20 years, Rafaël Rozendaal has been creating digital and physical works that explore the essence of perception and experience through abstraction, moving images, and interactivity.
Navy Officer’s Club , Calle Seconda de la Fava, 2168
Rafaël Rozendaal’s immersive installation “Observation” encourages visitors to slow down and cultivate a meditative practice of close looking that can reveal hidden patterns and complex forms that emerge from the interplay of simple elements such as colour, shadow, constraint and flow. Through the use of mirrors on the walls and floors of the space, the central image jumps off the screen to become a seemingly boundless environment that envelops the viewer in the world of the work. For more than 20 years, Rafaël Rozendaal has been creating digital and physical works that explore the essence of perception and experience through abstraction, moving images, and interactivity.
