Rivoluzione Vedova
An event of great relevance both for the iconic value of the works on display and for the exhibition design choices capable of engaging the public through an intercultural and inclusive approach.
Promoted and organised by the Fondazione Emilio e Annabianca Vedova together with M9 – Museo del ‘900, curated by Gabriella Belli and set up by Studio Alvisi Kirimoto, the exhibition opens an unprecedented path for the Museum that chooses contemporary art as a tool for exploring and interpreting the social, cultural, political and economic history of the 20th century. A choice that once again emphasises the central role in contemporary art of Emilio Vedova, whose work is an interpreter of and witness to a strong historical and civil link with the events that marked the 20th century, while maintaining the force of a constant topicality.
On show, among others, are some fundamental works by the Venetian painter connoted precisely by the strong link with the dramatic events of his time, such as Diario partigiano, Diario di Corea, Praga 1968, Chi brucia un libro brucia un uomo, as well as the large cycle …in continuum, compenetrazioni/traslati ’87/’88 and the seven plurimi of Absurdes Berliner Tagebuch ’64.
