Roger de Montebello: Ritratti di Venezia e altri ritratti

MUVE presents at Museo Correr the solo show “Ritratti di Venezia e altri ritratti” (Portraits of Venice and others portraits) by Franco-American artist Roger de Montebello who moved to Venice in 1992 where he lives and works.

His borderline work, divided between abstraction and representation, thought and feeling, led him to use a metaphysical approach to explore details of objects, people or Venice architectures with their profiles mirrored in the water that become a recognizing element of his paintings.
