Sheltering in Space – A Guide
The first Universe Pavilion presents a unique blend of art, architecture, and space exploration. This collaborative initiative, led by Astronautin GmbH—a space-focused company—and Fondazione EFESTO, a Venetian foundation championing inclusion in art, music, and sports, will debut with an immersive exhibition and a series of events centred on space travel and extraterrestrial habitats. The Universe Pavilion is envisioned as an annual event, creating a platform that fosters a continuous dialogue across cultures and disciplines. The exhibition seeks to inspire new perspectives and foster collaborations that bridge science, art, and global issues by emphasizing the profound relevance of space exploration challenges to life on Earth.
“Sheltering in Space – A Guide” presents a compelling exploration of art, architecture, and scientific insights into space architecture through works by international artists and space architects. The exhibition delves into the concept of sustainable space shelters, addressing the extreme conditions of space while considering cultural, social, and psychological factors.
