Shezad Dawood: Leviathan
To coincide with the 57th Venice Biennale, Shezad Dawood presents the first two episodes of Leviathan, a film project in ten parts, ideated and directed by the artist.
Following episodes will be co-commissioned in partnership with a series of international venues, culminating in the presentation of the whole body of works in 2020.
The site-specific exhibition curated by Alfredo Cramerotti and set up in the newly-restored Villino Canonica showcases, along with the projections, a new series of textile and sculptural works.
Additionally works will be installed in the showroom of the Fortuny Factory in the Giudecca, established in 1919 and still operational today.
