Daniel Pesta: Something is wrong
Pesta's latest project confronts the pervasive presence of evil in society, drawing parallels between historical narratives and contemporary crises.
Daniel Pešta‘s art explores the depths of human nature, the origins of evil and the transcendental quest for redemption. Pešta examines the interplay between power and obedience, spirituality and instinct, in a world marked by societal upheaval and individual turmoil.
His latest project confronts the pervasive presence of evil in society, drawing parallels between historical narratives and contemporary crises. With a nod to psychologist Philip Zimbardo’s research on the nature of evil, Pešta’s work challenges viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about humanity’s capacity for both good and evil.
Through symbolic imagery and evocative installations, he invites reflection on the fragile balance between individual agency and societal influence, ultimately pointing towards the transformative power of spirituality as a path towards redemption.
