Su Yu-Xin: Afterstone

Su Yu-Xin’s ‘Afterstone’ debuts nineteen new paintings shaped by her study of Western and Chinese alchemical traditions. The curation mirrors this transformative process, guiding visitors from an initial “imperative impulse” toward a fossilised, serene conclusion. In the final room, set against the historic backdrop of Lo Studio, a distinctive Venetian salon, the works settle into a calm state where shells, snails, and fragments of personal memory emerge as if unearthed. By blending elemental history with intimate relics, Yu-Xin explores the space where matter and memory converge.
