The Glass Ark. Animals in the Pierre Rosenberg Collection

The exhibition explores the extraordinary personal collection of glass animals, that Pierre Rosenberg, former Director/President of the Louvre in Paris, put together in over thirty years. More than 750 manufactures retrace the history and tradition of the 20th century Murano glass from an unusual point of view. On display, works from famous series by renowned glassmakers, pieces by contemporary sculptors, and lesser-known but interesting artefacts.
