Tolia Astakhishvili: To Love and Devour

“To Love and Devour” is a site-specific installation by Tolia Astakhishvili, created in dialogue with the architecture and history of the building, and curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist.

To develop the work, Tolia Astakhishvili lived and worked at Dorsoduro 2829 during the early months of 2025, fostering an exchange with the space and inviting a number of artists into conversation. These include Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili, Zurab Astakhishvili, Thea Djordjadze, Heike Gallmeier, Rafik Greiss, Dylan Peirce, James Richards, and Maka Sanadze.
