The collective exhibition “Untitled, 2020”, opening at Punta della Dogana, Venice, features pieces by more than 60 artists from the Pinault Collection, international museums, and private institutions. The exhibition project, conceived specifically for these spaces, offers a wide scope of expressive media and rage from the twentieth century to the present day.
“Untitled, 2020” has been curated and conceived by the artist Thomas Houseago, among the others, whose selected pieces are part of the Pinault Collection. After “Slip of the tongue” (2015-2016), this is the second time that an artist from the collection has been invited to express his personal view of it, by curating a collective exhibition. The selection will trigger emotional, sensory and tactile dialogues, leading to a focal centre, the recreation of Houseago’s studio in Tadao Ando’s central cube room. Here, Houseago proposes a site-specific installation, which makes available to the public both his library and his sources of inspiration.
On view works by Marlene Dumas, Robert Colescott, Saul Fletcher, Llyn Foulkes, Deana Lawson, Paul McCarthy, Arthur Jafa, Joan Jonas, Edward Kienholz, Barbara Kruger, Senga Nengudi and Gilberto Zorio, among the others.
