Zong Son Zang: Snapshots of Small Pauses
The exhibition, marks a significant return to Italy, where the artist first developed her practice through direct engagement with landscape, light, and observation.
The artist describes their practice as beginning with “the deliberate act of stopping”—a conscious pause that allows fragile, often unnoticed fragments of life to surface. These moments, typically lost in the pace of daily routines, are reassembled into intimate visual narratives that reveal a subtle yet profound presence.
Rather than pursuing literal representation, Zang constructs compositions through an interplay of color, form, gesture, rhythm, light, and energy.
The resulting works resist fixed interpretation, instead offering open-ended spaces where viewers can encounter their own reflections and emotional resonances.
At the core of the exhibition lies an appreciation for imperfection and fragility. Zang’s works embrace the transient and delicate qualities of small things—those easily overlooked details that quietly shape human experience.
