Nikima Jagudajev: Basically

“Basically” is an ongoing live project that transforms the exhibition space into a hybrid production environment and playground, where performance and practice intertwine. Structured as a choreographic game, four performers maintain the game’s rules while incorporating visitors in both visible and invisible ways. The project evolves with each presentation, creating a dynamic, long-term “megawork” that invites visitors to participate in its ever-changing world. Inspired by “re-schooling”, a practice that subverts traditional education through playful acts, the project embraces spontaneity, messiness, and the uncontrollable. Each new element, from the venue to the participants, continuously reshapes the work, offering a fresh, integrative experience that redefines the visitor’s relationship to art and its creation.
