Karma International presents a solo show dedicated to works of Hans Josephsohn.

Josephsohn’s sculptural journey revolves around his lifelong fascination with the human figure. Spanning six decades, the Swiss artist crafted a distinct visual language defying easy categorisation, leaving a profound impact on his peers and subsequent generations of artists. Whether standing, sitting, or reclining, his sculptures, whether full- or half-figures, and reliefs, capture the essence of humanity with tender precision. From the more literal, stele-like forms of his early career to the abstracted volumes of his later work, Josephsohn’s artistry evolved, culminating in late half-length figures that subtly evoke the human form through totemic shapes.
