Matthew Day Jackson: Things in Their Places

The monographic exhibition features a suite of new drawings and paintings from both new and established series by artist Matthew Day Jackson. “Things in Their Places” presents his celebrated floral works, alongside a new series of paintings inspired by spacecraft’s windows and by Abstract Expressionism, investigating the topics of progress and heroism in 20th century. On view also his new drawings of thistles, produced during the lockdown, to reflect on the conflictual relationship between industrialisation and nature.
