Today Art Basel stages the world’s premier art shows for Modern and contemporary art. Art Basel in Basel later expanded to the American market, with Art Basel in Miami Beach (2002) and to Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, with Art Basel Hong Kong (2013).
The Basel fair is directed by the Global Director, Marc Spiegler. Art Basel’s engagement has expanded beyond art fairs through a number of new initiatives such as The Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report, Art Basel Cities, and more recently Art Basel Inside.
