Africa Basel 2026
Africa Basel Contemporary African Art Fair returns as a boutique and focused fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora.
Conceived on an intimate scale, the fair offers a carefully curated environment where exhibitors, artists, collectors, curators, institutions, and cultural practitioners can engage in meaningful dialogue.
This edition brings together a vibrant and diverse roster of 18 exhibitors whose programmes reflect the depth, diversity, and urgency of contemporary African artistic practice today.
Through considered exhibitor presentations, special projects, performances, and conversations, Africa Basel creates space for discovery, exchange, and long-term connection.
Alongside the main exhibitor presentations, Africa Basel Conversations returns as a platform for critical discourse, artist talks, and collector dialogues.
The 2026 edition also features two Special Projects:
-
Art World Passport by Richard Mudariki
-
The Red Carpet by Youssef Ouchra
Together, these projects extend the fair beyond the booth format, opening space for performative, participatory, and site-responsive encounters.
