Design Miami
Design Miami/ is the global forum for design. Each fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce.
Galleries
At the core of Design Miami/ is a marketplace for collectible design, where the world’s leading design galleries present curated exhibitions of museum-quality furniture, lighting and objets d’art. Design Miami/ regularly attracts the highest level of private and public collectors of historical and contemporary design.
Curio
Design Curio is Design Miami’s new exhibition platform, which invites designers, curators, innovators and gallerists to present cabinets of curiosity throughout the fair. Each Curio reveals a total environment of objects, textures, artifacts and ideas that challenges and contextualizes familiar design narratives.
Design at Large
Design at Large presents large-scale works of historical and contemporary design that transcend the traditional gallery booth. The program aims to showcase ambitious installations that feature interactive technology, performance and microarchitecture. Each edition of Design at Large is led by a guest curator, and the 2015 edition – centered on the theme of twentieth and twenty-first century architectural expression – is curated by hotel entrepreneur and collector André Balazs.
Talks
The Design Talks programme in the Design Talk Studio, Hall 1 Süd presents the design world’s most compelling current topics. The talks bring together leaders in the world of design that actively influence design discourse and production, offering insight into what drives creative output, criticism and the market.
