I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel 2026

I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel celebrates its 15th anniversary, inviting the public to discover contemporary artists, designers, publishers, and authors, and to encounter diverse perspectives through engagement with art.

As every year, the shared framework is the world of art books. Personal encounters with exhibitors, the accessible presentation format, and the wide-ranging accompanying programme make the fair a key event during Art Basel week.

The fair aims to appeal equally to the general public and to professionals from the art world.

Fair Overview

The fair presents more than 120 exhibitors from 25 countries across approximately 1,000 square metres on the first floor of Viaduktstrasse 33.

Radio Programme

Alongside the publishers, this year’s edition once again features a live radio programme that can be listened to during opening hours.

The programme is produced in collaboration with the Institute Experimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM.distro) at the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW, extending the fair’s commitment to experimental publishing and contemporary cultural discourse.
