Art Dubai 2016: The Abraaj Group Art Prize

Established by The Abraaj Group, a leading investor in growth markets, to support contemporary artists of the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, The Abraaj Group Art Prize has invested in and given resources to artists to develop their practice by realising a unique project.

The prize reflects Abraaj’s own investment philosophy, which is to take viable businesses with great potential, and create regional and global champions.

The Abraaj Group is delighted to announce the curator, winning and shortlisted artists selected for the eighth prestigious Abraaj Group Art Prize – the most significant arts prize in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.

The winning artists will produce major new commission through a $100,000 award, which will then be revealed as part of a group exhibition at the tenth edition of Art Dubai, March 16-19, 2016. The exhibition, curated by the Guest Curator, also features works by three shortlisted artists, who each receive a cash prize of $10,000.
