Design Days Dubai again hosts in March 2015 an exciting mix of galleries from around the globe, bringing together an inspiring selection of work from both emerging and established designers. The fair also offers a fine selection of modern, 20th-century work.
The fair heading now into its fourth year has already featured a roster of international galleries that has helped further establish Dubai as a centre of discovery and as a global meeting place for the world’s cultural community.
From March 16 – 20, 2015, Design Days Dubai is the unique platform for design enthusiasts, and collectors with an extensive engaging public programme of discussion panels, lectures, installations and workshops.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, over 12,150 visitors attended Design Days Dubai 2014. The fair hosts galleries from 20 countries, showcasing 40 exhibitors, drawing creations from more than 240 designers.
Design Days Dubai takes place alongside the 12th edition of the Sharjah Biennial and the city’s annual event, Art Week, which brings the best of art and cultural events in the region including Art Dubai and Sikka Art Fair.
Given the high attendance at last year’s talks, workshops and panel discussions, and the very positive response from those attending, the 2015 programme has been expanded, to run over four days, thanks to the continuing support of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (DCAA) and d3 Dubai Design District.
The many workshops give participants the valuable opportunity to put concepts and theory into practice, under the guidance of respected international design professionals and emerging leaders based in the Middle East, including educators and practitioners.
