UBS Lounge at Art Basel Hong Kong 2018

UBS celebrates the 2018 edition of Art Basel in Hong Kong with the unveiling of a major new acquisition to the UBS Art Collection by leading Chinese artist and champion of abstraction, Ding Yi. As a jewel in the crown of this year’s new lounge design, Ding Yi’s painting will feature in an exhibition of works by other seminal artists including Gerhard Richter, Katerina Grosse, Imi Knoebel and Sean Scully.
Bringing cutting edge arts debate to the lounge, the UBS Open Classroom series will take an in-depth look at the art and artists that have shaped the last year, and speaker highlights will include leading gallerists and stellar contemporary artists, such as British sculptor Antony Gormley. On the public concourse, the much-loved UBS Junior Art Hub will offer innovative arts educational activities for young creatives, all inspired by artworks from the UBS Art Collection.
