Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2016: Students’ Biennale

The Students’ Biennale is a project developed by the Kochi Biennale Foundation, in collaboration with the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) and the Foundation for Indian Art and Education (FIAE). It is a platform led by 15 young curators that is presented simultaneously to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale.

The intention is to exhibit art students and young curators to the processes of world class art display and exhibition making. The curators of this year are selected by Bose Krishnamachari (Kochi Biennale Foundation President), Riyas Komu (Director of Programmes), Meena Vari (Education Consultant) and Vidya Shivadas (Director of the Foundation of Indian Contemporary Art).

They include: Adwait Singh, Ajit Kumar,  Aryakrishnan Ramakrishnan, Faiza Hasan, Harshita Bathwal, C. P. Krishnapriya, Naveen Mahantesh, Noman Ammouri, Paribartana Mohanty, Rajyashri Goody, Sarojini Lewis, Shatavisha Mustafi, Shruti Ramlingaiah, Sumitra Sunder, Vivek Chockalingam.

The Students’ Biennale runs parallel to the Kochi-Muziris Biennale and its second edition is due to open on December 13, 2016 at Kochi.
