Artist Belén Uriel is the winner of the 6th Audemars Piguet Award for the production of a work of art at ARCOmadrid 2018. Her work, En Dandanah is a project presented by the gallery Madragoa from Lisbon and will be exhibited in the Audemars Piguet space at the fair.

The winning artist, will be awarded 15,000 euros to produce a monumental glass and metal sculpture inspired by Dandanah: The Fairy Palace, a set of glass blocks designed by German architect Bruno Taut in 1920. It will comprise a metal sculpture that will house different glass panels.

The texture will be similar to shattered glass, but it will be a single piece in reference to the fragility of the original game and its questionable usability.
