ZsONA MACO 2016

Each year ZsONA MACO, Latin America’s most important contemporary art fair, brings collectors, specialists and galleries from every part of the world together in Mexico City.

Founded by Zélika García in 2002, ZsONA MACO has established itself as one of the most notable platforms for selling, displaying, and promoting international contemporary art in the region.

Annually, the fair accepts proposals from more than a hundred galleries, art magazines, and cultural institutions through five sections: General, New Proposals, ZsONA MACO Sur, Modern Art, and Design. These proposals are selected through a selection process led by an international committee, which is composed of renowned gallerists and specialized curators in each section.

The General Section displays a total of 73 galleries with artists of international relevance, selected by a committee formed by three gallerists who handle three of the most outstanding galleries in the international sphere.

The General Section’s committee is held by Stefania Bortolami (Bortolami Gallery, New York), Ben Loveless (Galerie Nordenhake, Stockholm / Berlin) and Patricia Ortiz Monasterio (Galería OMR, Mexico City).
