ZsONA MACO México Arte Contemporáneo presents its 21st edition with the most representative selection of the international art world, reaffirming its position as the epicentre of collecting in Latin America, featuring over 200 international galleries. Drawn from 29 countries, the exhibitors present works ranging from Modern pieces to new works by both established and emerging artists, as well as furniture and design objects produced from 1920 to the most recent trends. Over the course of 21 years, ZsONA MACO has become Mexico’s leading platform for contemporary art, design, photography, and antiques, with the greatest international presence, shaping the most important meeting point for collectors, art world professionals, and general audiences.

This section interrogates the concept of freedom through critical and poetic perspectives, presenting works that explore its boundaries and relevance in today’s world.

ZsONA MACO Sur

This section explores artistic practices from the Global South, challenging Eurocentric narratives and delving into themes of identity, memory, and community through site-specific projects.

ZsONA MACO Diseño
Curator: Cecilia León de la Barra
Now in its 14th edition, this section offers a selection of over 35 national and international exhibitors presenting limited-edition objects as well as modern and contemporary designs. Highlighting both established and emerging talent, the event showcases cutting-edge design, university projects, and innovative concepts, reinforcing Mexico City as a global design hub.

This section celebrates its 10th edition as a space to imagine the collective. This edition highlights visual production as an act of shared meaning, bringing together photographers who explore community from both personal and collective perspectives.

ZsONA MACO Modern Art
Curator: Esteban King
This section revisits iconic 20th-century works, emphasizing avant-garde movements and their cultural impact, with a strong focus on international and Latin American pioneers.

ZsONA MACO Salón del Anticuario
Curator: Alfonso Miranda Márquez
This section showcases exceptional antiques and heritage pieces, including sacred art, jewelry, and historically significant furniture.

Erarta Foundation ZsONA MACO Art Prize
With an endowment of $100,000 USD, this prize empowers attendees to select the best work of the fair. Unlike traditional juried awards, the winner is chosen by public vote, and the prize is divided equally between the artist and their gallery.

Conversations and Panels
Experts will lead discussions on global art topics, offering insights into contemporary trends.

ZsONA MACO Art Week
Beyond the fair, this initiative features exhibitions and events at Mexico City’s cultural institutions, including Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), Museo Jumex, Museo Nacional de Arte (MUNAL), Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes, Museo Kaluz, Museo de Arte Moderno (MAM), and Museo Tamayo.
