Design Miami/ 2018

Known as the global forum for design, Design Miami/ brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce. Each edition offers exclusive commercial opportunities with cultural programming, panels and lectures with luminaries from the worlds of design, architecture, art and fashion, and unique commissions from the world’s top emerging and established designers and architects.

Galleries
At the core of the fair is the marketplace for collectible design: the galleries sector presenting curated exhibitions by international design galleries. The full list of galleries is available here.

Curio
The newest platform in the fair, Curio is a series of cabinets of curiosity led by designer, curators and galleries especially invited to exhibit surprising installations of scientific and technological research.

Commission
Each year the fair invites early-career architects to create a design environment for the fair’s entrance.

Collaborations
A series of immersive installations, curated exhibitions and unique objects Design Miami/ commissions to institutions, partners and sponsors.

Talks
Creatives, collectors and critics actively influencing design discourse and production address the most compelling current topics.

Design Visionary
The 2018 Design Visionary Award is co presented by Design Miami’s official university partner, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Husband and Wife Duo Pedro Reyes and Carla Fernández are selected as the 2018 Design Miami/ Visionary Award recipients.

Satellites
Designers, businesses and institutions are invited to create unique exhibitions with strong curatorial and educational perspectives.
