Pulse Miami Beach 2015

PULSE is the premiere satellite fair for the discovery and acquisition of cutting-edge contemporary art. With annual editions in Miami Beach and New York City, the fair cultivates a supportive environment for its international community of galleries and provides a platform for their growth and expansion in the contemporary art market.

From its inception, PULSE has presented thoughtfully-curated exhibitions and ever-evolving programming that reflect the fair’s commitment to making the visitor experience a dynamic one.

The 11th edition of PULSE Miami Beach kicks off Miami Art Week with its signature Private Preview Brunch followed by an Opening Celebration on Tuesday, December 1 and will close on Saturday, December 5 with a Miami-focused Sunset Celebration. The fair’s footprint has grown to include two adjoining pavilions housing a tightly-curated selection of more than 80 national and international exhibitors, representing work by over 200 artists. This architecture provides a balanced and airy environment, interspersed with areas of contemplation and interactive programming, in which visitors can discover the most compelling contemporary art being produced today. PULSE Miami Beach welcomes galleries from three continents, with over 85% presenting three artists or fewer. Over a quarter of the fair is comprised of first-time exhibitors and nearly half participated in last year’s Miami edition. Eleven galleries will celebrate their return to PULSE Miami Beach as founding exhibitors of the first Miami edition eleven years ago.

Conversations
Conversations is an inaugural presentation at the fair that will focus on 25 galleries presenting two artists each, creating a dialogue between the artists’ practices. Adding to the overall experience, PULSE’s acclaimed programming will include thought-provoking art market discussions, moving image and large-scale projects throughout the fair.

Projects 
Pulse Art Fair’s signature Projects program is committed to the presentation and promotion of audience-engaging large-scale sculptures, installations and performances.

Perspectives
Perspectives are the fair’s round table discussions which explore ideas within contemporary art and the art market. Led by prominent art world insiders, these conversations grant fairgoers intimate and exclusive access to critical and current issues within the industry.

Play
Play is a dedicated showcase for video and new media, serving as a platform to encourage discovery within the digital realm.

Prize
The Pulse Prize is a jury-awarded cash grant presented directly to an artist of distinction who will be chosen from Impulse and Points solo artist presentation.
