Pulse Miami Beach 2016

Welcoming more than 70 international galleries and 200 artists, PULSE returns to Miami Beach with PULSE exhibitors in the North Tent and IMPULSE, CONVERSATIONS and POINTS exhibitors in the South Tent. The fair aims to promote established galleries as well as emerging artists through a selection of exhibitions. Conversations, talks and prizes will engage visitors in an artistic and conceptual dialogue.

A new session dedicated to video and digital art will mark a new chapter in the PULSE fair story: PLAY. This new section will serve as a platform for discovering new media works and emerging artists who are developing their practice though the latest technologies and new media works.

The curators are Jasmine Wahi and Rebecca Jampol, Co-Founders and Directors of Gateway Project Spaces and its non-profit gallery Project for Empty Space: “We are so thrilled to be a part of PULSE Miami Beach and to extend our curatorial enthusiasm through PLAY,” stated Rebecca Jampol and Jasmine Wahi. “PULSE has always brought out some of the most innovative and exciting projects, and we really admire the vision and continued elevation of strong emerging and mid-career artists and galleries”.

Featuring the digital artist Anne Spalter, PULSE presents Projects, a special commission which provides funding for an artist on show at the fair. The artist presents her vision of Modern Landscapes through the use of video and photography which alter images, architectures and atmospheres. This kaleidoscopic work, titled “Marbles”, will engage visitors in a multi sensorial experience.

In the Perspective section, PULSE become the ideal stage to discuss art and the art market, while the Play section showcases video and new media, encouraging the discovery of new digital media
