miart 2021

The 25th edition of miart, Milan’s international modern and contemporary art fair opens in Milan from September 17 – 19, 2021. This year the fairs come back in presence with a new artistic director, Nicola Ricciardi. This edition will be the first one to be held both physically –  at fieramilanocity – and online, under the title “Dismantling the silence”: both the title e and the programme draw inspiration from the first literary collection by the poet Charles Simic, with the hope to partially fill the cultural void and the silence left behind by the pandemic.

Intending to honour tradition and look at the future at the same time, the programme gathers discoveries and rediscoveries from the early twentieth century along with the creations by the youngest generations.
