SPRING/BREAK Art Show 2019

The eight edition of the SPRING/BREAK Art Show takes place in New York during Armory Arts Week, from March 5  – March 11, 2019. The topic chosen for the new edition is “Fact and Fiction”, in order to investigate the paradoxical relation between the two opposites.

The initiative involves atypical and historical venues throughout New York City, inviting independent curators to exhibit there. In exchange for the no-cost exhibition space, they are invited to address a particular theme, chosen every year, which unifies all the initiatives of the fair.

Over the years, the art show has gained international recognition, aiming to open other perspectives on the art market alternative to the institutional one. The low costs to exhibit allow wider audiences of artist, curators and other professionals to be actively involved: all the works are then displayed and purchasable online, contributing to the further affirmation of both emerging and renown international artists.
