Fiac 2016
Founded in Paris in 1974, the International Contemporary Art Fair [Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain] brings together modern and contemporary art galleries, and it opens its doors from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 October.
All media are represented: painting, sculpture, photography, installations, videos, performances, and digital arts. In 2016, the FIAC assembles around 175 galleries, originating from 26 countries.
The exhibition at the Grand Palais see the participation of 189 exhibitors divided in: General Sector and LaFayette Sector.
The participating galleries are chosen by the Selection Committee on the principle of peer selection. This year the members are Olivier Antoine from Art : Concept, Gisela Capitain from Galerie Gisela Capitain, Mark Dickenson from Neue Alte Brücke, David Fleiss from Galerie 1900-2000, Solène Guillier from GB agency, Jan Mot from Jan Mot, Emmanuel Perrotin from Galerie Perrotin and Christophe Van de Weghe from Van de Weghe Gallery.
The artistic and cultural offer in Paris during FIAC week is characterised by its exceptionally rich diversity, drawing together the most prestigious Parisian cultural institutions.
The 43rd edition of FIAC will also provide the occasion to discover a spectacular arts programme galvanising the whole Parisian scene.

Located in the heart of Paris, near the Champs Elysées, the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais are accessed via the Avenue Winston Churchill.
