OFFSCREEN 5th Edition

For its fifth edition, OFFSCREEN returns for the second time to the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière, designed by Louis Le Vau and completed by Libéral Bruant. The 2026 edition brings together 28 artists presented by their galleries, alongside loans, performances, talks, and a concert. This year’s Guest of Honour is Ana Mendieta (1948- 1985), known for her earth/body works and "siluetas" and one of the most prolific film and video artists of the 1970s. Her installation is presented by Marian Goodman Gallery in collaboration with the Estate of Ana Mendieta and complements the concurrent retrospective at Tate Modern. In the Magasins, a historic building in the chapel’s southern nave, the Acquisitions and Discoveries programme presents image-based works from the Pinault Collection and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
