The Brazilian art magazine, Arte!Brasileiros collaborated with SP-ARTE on a program of panel discussions that focuses on the art market and its cultural and social value.

The Talks Program, “Art as a Value”, includes three panels between April 9 and 10, beginning before the opening hours of the fair in the Museu de Arte Moderna (MAM) Auditorium and will be free to the public.

Speakers include Paulo Herkenhoff, artistic director of the Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR) in a panel discussion with author Sarah Thornton, and Thomas Galbreith, managing director of Paddle 8, online auction house. On Thursday evening, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, curator of the 2015 Istanbul Biennial will be in conversation with Ivo Mesquita, Brazilian curator and art historian, and Friday’s panel will present Marcio Fainziliber, president of Museu de Arte do Rio on a panel discussion with Donald and Mera Rubell from The Rubell Family Collection based in Miami.
