Turin will host the 28th edition of Artissima, which will take place from November 5 to 7
From Friday, November 5 to Sunday, November 7, the 28th edition of Artissima, Turin’s contemporary art fair, led by Ilaria Bonacossa, will take place.
After the digital edition of 2020, Artissima proposes for the current year a sophisticated combination of physical experiences, at the usual venue of Oval Lingotto, and a digital ones. The historical sections of the fair are four: Main Section, New Entries, Dialogue/Monologue, and Art Spaces & Editions.
Artissima XYZ – the cross-media platform that from 2020 will host the three curated sections, Present Future, Back to the Future, and Drawings – will be both online from November 4-9 and physical with three group exhibitions at Oval Lingotto.
The main sponsor is for the first time Intesa San Paolo, which will support the fair with two exhibitions: “Vitalità del tempo. Le collezioni d’arte di Intesa Sanpaolo” curated by Luca Massimo Barbero. The second is a digital photographic exhibition “Rimbalzi“, with images are taken from the Publifoto Intesa Sanpaolo Archive and the photographic section of the Bank’s Historical Archive, and will be online on a dedicated platform, hosted on artissima.art from November 3 to December 5.
In addition, Artissima offers a series of special projects that will take place throughout the fair, some of the most interesting of which include: HUB INDIA, a focus on Indian galleries and museums; Alfabeto Treccani, a series of twenty-one unpublished limited edition multiples created by national artists; Surfing NTF – Beyond Production is a conceptual platform created to stimulate and promote reflections on the most innovative trends in contemporary art, organized in collaboration with the Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT.
